Biotin is needed in the processes of energy metabolism.
Folic acid is an enzyme that is vital for the production of new cells and DNA in the red blood cells.
Fat soluble vitamins
These vitamins are also stored in the different cells in the body. They are not escorted out of the system easily compared to the water-soluble vitamins.
Vitamin A is essential for a healthy vision, healthy skin and bone growth. This vitamin helps in giving healthy tooth and increases the health of the immune system.
Vitamin D is important for the processes involved in the absorption of calcium. Such vitamins are stored in the bones.
Vitamin E acts as antioxidants as well. It defends the body from free radicals. These free radicals are dangerous free floating compounds that destroy the cells completely when engaged with them. Vitamin K is vital for proper blood clotting in the body.
